BCRR ONGOING TRAINING RUNS

EVERY TUESDAY.  

In the morning...Run Mount Bacon (Uptown Park area parking garages) with Simon starting at 5:00 a.m. at the 0 mile marker in Memorial Park in front of the tennis center.  Ten or eleven miles total depending on which way you turn when you return to the Park.   If you have any questions about this workout, contact.Simon Brabo CANCELLED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE


EVERY TUESDAY  

In the evening...We have a group that meets for a stadium workout at Rice University at 6:00 pm. Gotta get those hills in somehow. All levels welcome. Park behind the stadium (southwest corner of the campus). If you have any questions about this workout, contact Eddie Rodriguez . SEE DETAILED MAP


EVERY WEDNESDAY.  

 In the morning...We have a speed workout for you. If you've been missing having a speed workout, here it is...The fun starts at 5:30 am on Wednesdays at St Martin's parking lot. Location is Sage/Woodway. Distances and workout vary from week to week. All paces welcome. More fun than legally allowed at 5:30 a.m.

In the evening...Every Wednesday evening we meet at Rice University for Sprints and Spirits. The group meets at 5:45 pm (run leaves at 6 pm sharp!).The Bayou Run  (6.6 miles) is the usual route but there are shortcuts and alternative routes as well.. All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla  ,  a delightfully casual and economical watering hole, afterwards. There is always a group that goes out for dinner as well. Come on out! It's a great way to break up the stressful work week. 

NOTE PARKING CHANGE: Until further notice we are temporarily meeting in the free parking lot behind the stadium at the southeast corner of Rice University (accessible by entrances 13a,13b off of Greenbriar.) After the run,  we will either walk, take the campus shuttle or repark to gain access to Valhalla

EVERY SUNDAY. 

Mornings We meet on Sunday morning (it's sort of like church, you know) at Memorial Park for a 10 to 12 mile run .We gather at the tennis center parking lot for a 6:30 a.m. start. See map below. (7:15 to 10:00 min. paces are represented). Breakfast at a nearby restaurant afterwards. For more info on hooking up with them,  contact  John Phillips  (713-467-0572)
