RACE CALENDAR


BCRR ONGOING TRAINING RUNS

(Running with us for the first time? We recommend attending one of our two major group runs on Wednesday evening at Rice University or Sunday morning at Memorial Park)



EVERY WEDNESDAY.  

In the morning...We have a speed workout for you. The fun starts at 5:30 am on Wednesdays at St Martin's parking lot. Location is Sage/Woodway. Distances and workout vary from week to week. All paces welcome. More fun than legally allowed at 5:30 AM.  If you have any questions about this workout, contact Eric Faria or John Phillips .

In the evening...Every Wednesday evening we meet at Rice University for Sprints and Spirits. The group meets at 5:45 pm (run leaves at 6 pm sharp!).The Bayou Run  (6.6 miles) is the usual route but there are shortcuts and alternative routes as well.. All levels are welcome. And the best part is the cheap beer at Valhalla  ,  a delightfully casual and economical watering hole, afterwards. There is always a group that goes out for dinner as well. Come on out! PARK AND MEET in the First Christian Church /School parking lot off of Rice Blvd. (~ 1628 Rice Blvd) for our Wednesday group runs at 6PM. 

  
Provisions:
    >They request that we park in the front lot (off of Rice) as they use the back lot more.
    >There will be times when they have activities on Wednesday nights and we will have to park elsewhere. We will send out an email when these days will be blocked out as soon as we know the dates.

FRIDAY

In the morning... "Baby Mount Bacon": It's a kinder, gentler version of "Mount Bacon" - Same parking garages, less distance - approximately 5 miles. The  group meets at  St Martin's parking lot, Sage/Woodway. contact: Bob Thompson. (Seasonal- email to verify before coming the first time)


EVERY SUNDAY 

Mornings... We meet on Sunday morning (it's sort of like church, you know) at Memorial Park for a 10 to 12 mile run (Or check this Image file).We gather at the tennis center parking lot for a 6:30 a.m. start. See map below. (7:15 to 10:00 min. paces are represented). Breakfast at a nearby restaurant afterwards. For more info on hooking up with them,  contact  John Phillips  (713-467-0572)
