profile:

Occupation:
CPA
How many miles a week do you
run?: 5 -
35
How did you come to join Bayou
City?:
Saw a notice for the 2004 pre marathon dinner and
attended. I felt
welcomed and liked the group. My positive feelings
for the group were reinforced on my first Wednesday night run.
My proudest running accomplishment
is: Breaking
the tape in the mile run race at the San Crab Relays in high
school. I peaked
too early. I am also
proud of my 3:34 marathon.
My favorite training run
is: Memorial /
Allen Parkway, Memorial Park.
My favorite race is: Philadelphia
Marathon. A
great friend lives on JFK Parkway which is within walking distance
from the start and finish. The course is good and
just the right size. I
think what tops it off are the great times I have before and after
the race in Philly.
My best distance is: Half
marathon.
I run because: It’s in my
DNA.
My philosophy for life
is: You can do
anything you want but you can’t do everything you want. Choose wisely.
My next goal is: Run strong in the Logan
marathon.
Favorite training
food: I treat
my body like a temple when I am alone and like an amusement park
when I am with friends.
At home it’s chicken and fish.
When I'm running I think
about: It
differs depending on the run.
Sometimes answers to difficult questions come easily,
sometimes how I feel on the run, sometimes just on whatever is
happening around me.
The best running advice I could give
would be: Be
consistent, don’t get discouraged and be mentally
tough.
People would be surprised if they
knew I: Jumped
out of a perfectly good airplane at 13,000 feet.
The top thing on my dream list
is: Qualifying for Boston.
If I could have been anything,
besides my current occupation it would be: Rich philanthropist. Something creative where you
are developing or building something.
Other hobbies besides
running:
Camping, backpacking
