Name: Hope Sellers

Birthday: August 9th

Years running at the time of profile(2004): Been running off and on since 1974, but seriously training & running in races since 1991

Occupation: Looking for work

How many miles a week do you run? I run about 20 miles per week when warming up for the HARRA Spring series and the tri season.

How did you come to join Bayou City?: I moved back into the city from Crosby and met Joe, who talked me into running with him and then talked me into joining the club. Now, I love being a part of BCRR!

My proudest running accomplishment is: The 1/2 ironman at Buffalo Springs in Lubbock, Texas

My favorite training run is: Doing the Tour de Bayou on the Ho Chi Minh Trail.

My favorite race is: The Bellaire Trolley run because of the cool trolley car trophies.

My best distance is: The 10k but I love to run 5k's..

I run because: It keeps me healthy and happy.

My philosophy for life is: Everyone should be allowed the freedom to live their life the way they desire.

My next goal is: Is this a running goal? My running goal is to improve my time in events. My other goal is to get a job..

When I'm running I think about: Making it to the next mile marker.

People would be surprised if they knew I: Was in the Navy. Also, before most women discovered the thrill of owning and driving their own motorcycle, I was riding my own Harley Davidson throughout the United States.

The top thing on my dream list is: To live and train in the hill country.

If I could have been anything, besides my current occupation it would be: a Librarian or Genealogist

Other hobbies besides running: Motorcycling, biking, swimming, traveling, reading, gardening and genealogy research.

I would love to spend the day with: Ralph Fiennes (my question is: does anyone know who he is?)

The most profound thing that has happened in my life is: Meeting my soul mate, Joe, and getting married
