• Served on the BCRR Board as a Member at large for two years (2006-2008).

• Served as Co-Webmaster of the BCRR website for the last two and a half years (2007- present).

• Produced the Year-In-Picture Slideshows shown at the Awards Banquet for the last three years.

• Served as Team Coordinator for the Relays for two years (2006-2008) and have been Team Captain for the Veteran Women for 4 years (2005- present).

I am particularly invested in our involvement in the HARRA Interclub Competitions as this allows everyone to participate and contribute to success - even the slowest person counts! It’s a team-building thing! Consider the relays: Recently we fielded many teams in the Bayou Bash Relay and several were able to place, but ALL contributed to BCRR’s overall success in the HARRA interclub competition this spring. In fact, the BCRR Vet women won the Club Competition for both Spring and Fall 2008 solely on the basis of their strong participation in the Relays! It is a great feeling to be a valuable member of the BCRR team - and it is fun! This team effort extends beyond the Relays and is something I would like to foster further if elected.

I am also interested in recruiting new runners to BCRR, especially younger runners and mid and back of the pack runners who feel they don’t belong in a running club if they are not able to run fast and long. I feel it is important to encourage and foster new (and old) members to participate in contributing to the Club as volunteers and ultimately as new Board members. The enthusiasm and input of new voices is critical for the Club to remain on top!
